Oyster Stew with Chicken + Ham Recipe Ingredients:
1 pint of oysters with their juice

1 cup of cooked chicken, chopped

1 cup cooked ham, chopped

¾ cup long grain white rice

2 cups chicken broth

2 cups beef broth

3 tablespoons flour

3 tablespoons butter

? to ¼ teaspoon of hot pepper sauce (depends on how hot you like it)

1 medium onion, chopped

2 carrots sliced or chopped (whichever you prefer)

1 bay leaf

Salt and black pepper to taste

Oyster Stew with Chicken + Ham Recipe Instructions:

You’re going to need a large sauce pan. In that, melt the butter over medium heat. Throw in the chopped onion and cook until tender, 2 to 3 minutes.

 
Add in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Stir in the chicken broth and beef broth. Let this mixture come to a boil.
Throw in the carrots, ham, rice, and bay leaf. Then turn down the heat, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
Now time for the oyster! Stir in the pint of oysters and their juice, salt and pepper to taste, and hot pepper sauce.
Cook the oyster stew with chicken + ham for about 5 minutes or until the edges of the oyster starts to curl.
Remove the bay leaf.
