1/3 cup chili sauce
1 ½ teaspoons hot pepper sauce

1 minced garlic clove
2 table spoons mild banana pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil

Heat the oil in a sauce pan and sauté the garlic and onion until both are tender. Add the banana pepper, brown sugar, chili sauce, pepper sauce, cayenne, pepper flakes, and liquid smoke. Bring this spicy sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 1 ½ to 2 minutes.
