Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe

Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe
Do you like the taste of Jamaican food? I sure do, and I’m here to tell you how to make jerk chicken. This is an easyMVI_0092 jerk chicken recipe, most of the Jamaican jerk chicken recipe ingredients are to taste rather than measured so adjusting the amounts is easy depending on how many pieces of chicken you have and how much jerk chicken you want to make. I used 6 chicken drumsticks in the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe video, but it’s easy to increase the amount if you need more jerk chicken. Just add more of the ingredients below. This does require a bit of marinade time though.
Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe Ingredients:

6 chicken drumsticks

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 Tablespoon McCormick chicken seasoning

1 tsp Paprika

2 tablespoon Olive oil

1 tsp Allspice

1/2 Bottle Jerk chicken marinade

Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe Instructions:

Place chicken pieces into a baking dish and drizzle it with just enough olive oil to coat the chicken.
Sprinkle the chicken with the chicken seasoning, allspice, paprika to taste.
Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. Then pour half of an 18 ounce bottle of jerk chicken marinade over the chicken. Regular Jamaican style jerk marinade will do fine if the jerk chicken marinade is not available.
Mix everything together while making sure the chicken is coated well. Cover and place in the refrigerator to marinate for 3 hours.
After 3 hours, remove the Jamaican jerk chicken from the refrigerator and let stand at room temperature while you preheat the oven to 350 degrees. (An ice cold dish placed in a hot oven could crack or shatter, so let it sit at room temp for a few minutes before placing the dish with the Jamaican jerk chicken recipe into the oven.)
Place the jerk chicken into the oven uncovered and bake for 25 minutes or until tender and juices run clear. Now that’s how to make jerk chicken! Let stand 5 to 10 minutes, and then serve with the side dishes of your choice.
