Fried Chicken and Cream Gravy
This is a great fried chicken recipe, complete with a wonderful cream gravy that you’ll love. You can buy a whole Fried Chicken and Cream Gravychicken already cut up, or cut it up yourself with the video I made, “How To Cut Up A Chicken”. This recipe also has a chicken marinade that makes the flavor that much better!

Fried Chicken and Cream Gravy Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, cut up

2 tablespoons lemon juice

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

? cup, plus 2 tablespoons corn oil (separated)

¼ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

¾ cup bread crumbs

½ cup, plus ? cup all-purpose flour (separated)

2 eggs

1 ½ cup, plus 2 tablespoons milk (separated)

½ cup light cream

2 tablespoons butter
Fried Chicken and Cream Gravy Instructions:

In a bowl, mix lemon juice, salt, pepper, and ? cup of corn oil. Place cut up chicken pieces in a shallow baking dish and pour the chicken marinade you just made over them.
Cover and let the chicken marinate for 1 hour.
With a paper towel, dry the chicken pieces.

 
In a plastic bag, add ½ cup of flour.
Then in a bowl, mix eggs and 2 tablespoons milk.
Place bread crumbs in a shallow bowl or dish.
Put a few pieces at a time in the flour bag and shake to coat.
Then dip in the egg mixture, and then roll in bread crumbs.
In a large skillet, heat the remaining corn oil and butter over medium heat.
Add the breaded chicken pieces and cook, turning often until well browned approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove chicken from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Stir the remaining ? cup of flour into the drippings in the skillet.
Turn the heat down to low and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in remaining milk, cream, paprika, cayenne, and additional salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove the gravy from heat and serve this great tasting Fried Chicken and Cream Gravy with mashed potatoes, or rice, and your favorite vegetable!
