Cajun Chicken Creole with Shrimp Recipe Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds boneless chicken breast
1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp
? tsp. crushed red pepper
? tsp. cayenne pepper
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. dried oregano
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1 chopped bell pepper
¼ tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pound cooked linguine
Cajun Chicken Creole with Shrimp Recipe Instructions:
Cut the chicken breast into ½ inch cubes.
Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over a medium high heat.
Combine the chicken and shrimp in the skillet and sprinkle it with the cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper, black pepper, salt and oregano. Cook for around 3 minutes until the chicken is partially cooked and shrimp are pink. Remove the chicken and shrimp from the skillet and set to the side.
Turn the heat under the skillet down to medium and add the remaining butter and oil. Sauté the onion until tender then add the garlic and bell pepper. Continue to sauté until bell pepper is crisp-tender. Now add in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and tomato.
Put the chicken and shrimp back into the skillet with the onion, tomato, and bell pepper mixture and mix well. Simmer for about 5 minutes, then serve over the cooked linguine and enjoy the great Cajun taste of this Cajun Chicken Creole with Shrimp Recipe!
